It\u2019s National College Decision Day and we have five high school seniors to highlight! Read about our guitar student, Bianca Nova, who will be going to Sacred Heart University to study Sports Communications and Media in the 4 + 1 Dual Degree Program! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I applied to eight colleges: UConn, Temple University, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, Iona University, University of New Haven, Eastern CT State University, and Southern CT State University. I chose Sacred Heart partly because of the location being not too far from home and the specific major I want to pursue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My biggest accomplishment by far is joining the JROTC program which has not only helped me grow as a person, but has also helped me become a leader while pushing myself to the best of my ability to reach my goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you apply to college make sure you research every aspect like dorming, cost , location, etc. Make sure to also have someone who can help you through the college process and apply to any scholarship you can. Every little bit of money counts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While learning guitar these past two years it has helped me and motivated me to do better, and that’s the mindset I use when it comes to school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After finishing my Bachelor\u2019s degree in the traditional 4 years, I will also do an extra year of independent work study to get my Master\u2019s in sports communications and media. After my Master\u2019s, I would like to get a job abroad primarily in Spain to work as a sports broadcaster covering soccer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
D\u00eda Nacional de la Decisi\u00f3n Universitaria 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a1El D\u00eda Nacional de la Decisi\u00f3n Universitaria ha llegado y tenemos cinco estudiantes de \u00faltimo a\u00f1o de secundaria para destacar! \u00a1Lee sobre nuestra estudiante de guitarra, Bianca Nova, qui\u00e9n asistir\u00e1 a la Universidad de Sacred Heart para estudiar Comunicaci\u00f3n y Medios Deportivos en el programa dual 4 + 1! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Solicit\u00e9 admisi\u00f3n en ocho universidades: UConn, la Universidad Temple, la Universidad de Fairfield, la Universidad de Sacred Heart, la Universidad de Iona, la Universidad de New Haven, la Universidad Estatal del Este de Connecticut y la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Connecticut. Eleg\u00ed Sacred Heart en parte debido a su ubicaci\u00f3n, que no est\u00e1 demasiado lejos de casa, y por el programa espec\u00edfico que deseo estudiar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mi mayor logro hasta ahora ha sido ser parte del programa JROTC, que no solo me ha ayudado a crecer como persona, sino que tambi\u00e9n me ha ayudado a convertirme en un l\u00edder mientras me esfuerzo al m\u00e1ximo para alcanzar mis metas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cuando solicites admisi\u00f3n a la universidad, aseg\u00farate de investigar cada aspecto, como la vivienda, el costo, la ubicaci\u00f3n, etc. Aseg\u00farate tambi\u00e9n de tener a alguien que pueda ayudarte en el proceso universitario y de solicitar cualquier beca que puedas. Cada peque\u00f1a cantidad de dinero cuenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Durante estos \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os aprendiendo la guitarra, me ha ayudado y motivado a hacerlo mejor, y ese es el enfoque que uso cuando se trata de la escuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despu\u00e9s de terminar mi licenciatura en los tradicionales 4 a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n dedicar\u00e9 un a\u00f1o adicional a un estudio independiente para obtener mi maestr\u00eda en comunicaci\u00f3n y medios deportivos.
