INTEMPO HAS PARTNERED WITH EAT JUSTICE, MECHA\u2019S PROGRAM THAT HELPS NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS RAISE MONEY FOR THINGS THAT THEY NEED.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each month, Mecha chooses an organization to give a portion of the profits of each bowl of ramen sold. INTEMPO was selected in December 2021. INTEMPO used that money to start the piano program at our Music School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis Taveras, manager at Mecha, came to speak to our teen council on May 5, 2023. He talked about financial management, stocks, and investments. He told how easy it was to begin investing and the importance of starting early to maximize how much we could earn. He said we should invest in companies that were popular and ones where we understood how they made money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis really identified with us, putting himself back in the same spot we are right now as first-generation Latino high school students. It was valuable to see someone, like us, who experienced similar things growing up and succeeded in his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He talked to us about life after high school. He showed the many different paths of education that we could take after graduation and still be successful, like going to college or trade school as an alternative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re really glad there is someone like Luis in the community who is willing to have his business give back to groups like INTEMPO and spend time with teens like us, as we decide what paths we want to take into our futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mecha Noodle Bar,<\/a>\u00a0conocido por su ramen y otros platos asi\u00e1ticos, es un restaurante ubicado en el centro de Stamford.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

INTEMPO se ha asociado con Eat Justice, el programa de Mecha que ayuda a las organizaciones sin fines de lucro a recaudar dinero para las cosas que necesitan. Cada mes, Mecha elige una organizaci\u00f3n para dar una parte de las ganancias de cada plato de ramen vendido. INTEMPO fue seleccionado en diciembre de 2021. INTEMPO utiliz\u00f3 ese dinero para iniciar el programa de piano en nuestra Escuela de M\u00fasica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis Taveras, gerente de Mecha, vino a hablar a nuestro consejo de adolescentes el 5 de mayo de 2023. Habl\u00f3 sobre gesti\u00f3n financiera, acciones e inversiones. Dijo lo f\u00e1cil que era empezar a invertir y la importancia de empezar temprano para maximizar cu\u00e1nto pod\u00edamos ganar. Dijo que deber\u00edamos invertir en empresas que fueran populares y en las que entendi\u00e9ramos c\u00f3mo ganan dinero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis realmente se identific\u00f3 con nosotros, coloc\u00e1ndose de nuevo en el mismo lugar en el que estamos ahora como estudiantes latinos de secundaria de primera generaci\u00f3n. Fue valioso ver a alguien, como nosotros, que experiment\u00f3 cosas similares mientras crec\u00eda y tuvo \u00e9xito en su carrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nos habl\u00f3 sobre la vida despu\u00e9s de la escuela secundaria. Mostr\u00f3 los muchos caminos diferentes de educaci\u00f3n que podemos tomar despu\u00e9s de graduarnos y aun as\u00ed tener \u00e9xito, como ir a la universidad oa una escuela de oficios como alternativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estamos muy contentos de que haya alguien como Luis en la comunidad que est\u00e9 dispuesto a que su negocio retribuya a grupos como INTEMPO y pase tiempo con adolescentes como nosotros, mientras decidimos qu\u00e9 caminos queremos tomar en nuestro futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
