Mendelssohn violin concerto is a particular favorite piece of mine, and hearing Joshua Bell play it in my hometown was amazing! I\u2019m so happy that organizations like Orchestra Lumos is bringing incredible violinists such as Joshua Bell and I\u2019m extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to watch him play! He played very well and I will definitely be going to see him again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do you think was the most important practicing and auditioning experience and tip that helped you get into the All State orchestra?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think the most important tip for practicing is to know your scales! You should know your scales inside and out. Once your scales are perfected, you can get down to the details of the piece and excerpts. Why lose points on the easy things? In terms of auditioning, the most important thing is to be sure of yourself. Repeat positive thoughts to yourself and encourage yourself.
