Ensemble Workshop is an entertaining and interactive program designed to engage the audience with the music of diverse cultures, countries, and instrumentation. The workshop showcases our teaching artist ensembles and/or our advanced student ensemble, and can be related thematically to the host program’s global studies, arts, Spanish, or other curriculum. We can work with groups as small as 20 children and as large as 300. We present music themes that focus on cultural diversity, inclusion, and equity. We focus on South America, Central America, and Latin America, as well as African-influenced and Afro-Caribbean musical traditions.
Participants gain a new appreciation for music, culture, and different art forms.
Our workshops are conducted in both English and Spanish and can run from 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
