Alana Olswing is a violinist and passionate arts administrator. After completing her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at Northwestern University, she earned her Master of Science in Management Studies at the Kellogg School of Management, focusing on ways businesses and nonprofits could help increase arts education accessibility. During this time, she was an associate violinist with the Chicago Civic Orchestra and worked in the public relations office at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

She has always been passionate about teaching and guiding students. As a musician and teacher, she has worked with the PRIZM Music Festival and Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts, where she taught private lessons, studio class, and assisted in teaching music theory and history courses.

In her free time, she loves to play golf, bake, rock-climb, and spend time with her two cats.
