Carolina Mata-Tovar is the Vice President of Employee and Internal Communications at Pitney Bowes in Stamford, Connecticut. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, digital and social media, brand reputation, innovation processes, field sales, and sales operations. In her current role, she is accountable for both executive and employee messaging across the global enterprise, ensuring employee understanding of and engagement with corporate strategy and individual accountability.
She joined Pitney Bowes from Xerox Corp., where she held senior management positions, including Vice President, Sales Operations Excellence for large enterprise operations. In this role, she helped lead the transformation and restructuring of the go-to-market strategy for this area of the business. She spent nine years with Whirlpool Corp. in a number of marketing and communications roles, including Director of Marketing, Innovation and Customer Loyalty, Sales and Marketing, Consumer Engagement and Director of Internal and Interactive Communications. In this role, she worked closely with senior leaders, including the CEO, and developed the company’s first global employee portal that brought together daily business applications, internal and external news sources and employee resources.
She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and received her Master of Business Administration from Notre Dame in 2005. In addition, she serves on the board of the Ascent program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and is a member of several industry associations, including the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and the International Association of Business Communicators.
