Born and raised in Lima the capital of Peru Miriam Reyes, she grew up all the time surrounded by school teachers. She studied at the Marcelino Champagnat University, primary education and folklore and at the Higher Pedagogical Institute Victor Andres Belaunde, primary education.
Upon moving to Stamford Connecticut in 2005 she began working in Catholic schools such as St Aloysius school in New Canaan and Our lady Start of the Sea in Stamford as a Spanish teacher, teaching the language as well as Latin culture and art.
Latin dance and zumba instructor since 2010
In 2013 she founded “Portal Norteño “ the Peruvian school dance Marinera, together with the teacher Luis Trejo with the aim of continuing to instill our roots and culture among children and young people.
We have participated in different competitions and we actively participate in our community.
