Monica Marylin G. Estevez

Marylin started singing at the age of five. She was part of the OPAM Choir, Coro Polifónico Infantil, with whom she traveled to South Korea to be part of the Choirs Olympics in 1992. In 2015, she won a merit scholarship from the Korean national government to study in Jeounju, South Korea. While in South Korea, she participated in an International students’ program in Seoul, representing the Latin American community. She has trained under renowned tenor Marlon Valverde and studied opera and music history at Misionarte Music School in Ecuador. In the U.S., she continued her vocal training at Westport School of Music and at the Julliard School’s Evening Division Program. She earned her Associate’s degree in chemistry and biology from San Luis Gonzaga School and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at Norwalk Community College.
