A Message from Our CEO: NEA Funding Loss and How You Can Help

Dear valued member of our community,

On May 2nd, the NEA withdrew grants from countless arts nonprofits across the country. Unfortunately, INTEMPO was one of them: We lost $10,000 in already-awarded funding to support our Cultural Crossover Concert, which took place last month at Norwalk City Hall and showcased over a hundred young musicians from across Fairfield County.

If you were there, you know that it was a magical evening, brimming over with joy, pride, kinship and great music. It also cost a significant amount of money to produce, and this $10,000 in lost NEA funding represented one-third of our budget. As a result, we have to raise money elsewhere so that the concert — our signature event — does not result in a deficit.

Please help us fill this unexpected $10,000 shortfall. This isn’t the first challenge we’ve faced and overcome; nor will it be the last. With your support, we know that we will emerge strong.

Make a donation today.

With gratitude and determination,

Lou Chen
