Katherine Uchupailla

Katherine was born and raised in Stamford, CT. She is of Ecuadorian and Salvadorean descent. Katherine is an active member of her community and has worked in Stamford ever since she was in high school volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford, Inspirica, and Fairgate Farm. She is also an active alumnus of Future 5.
Katherine attended Providence College and graduated with dual Bachelor's degrees in 2020. Katherine has Bachelor of Arts in Public and Community Service Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Management. She graduated with her Master of Public Health from Sacred Heart University in May of 2023.
Katherine has worked as a caseworker through Person to Person. Currently, she works for the Synchrony Skills Academy, a tech reskilling program initiative through Synchrony's Education. Katherine believes that the provision of social programs and support systems, like INTEMPO and the Synchrony Skills Academy, provides underrepresented, low-income communities with educational opportunities to advance their education and careers that impact not just the participant but their family.
