INTEMPO provides quality music education, using cross-cultural curriculum and program offerings that inspire young musicians to express themselves creatively and to make music an important part of their lives.
INTEMPO’s annual large-scale multicultural concert is a major initiative with a track record of excellence. We reach audiences of 1,000+ people of all ages and from all walks of life.
INTEMPO offers a summer camp with experienced teaching artists who provide instrumental and choir lessons in the morning and enrichment and outdoor activities in the afternoon, including field trips, community service performances, and civic engagement events.
INTEMPO fosters children’s reading and language skills by building on the connection between playing an instrument and literacy. We provide one-on-one tutoring, focusing on core literacy skills, as well as math support and assistance in other academic areas.
INTEMPO’s school-based introductory program uses a cross-cultural curriculum and is designed to fit the students’ age, interests, and abilities. This program enriches the students’ music experience and inspires them to further pursue their music education and artistic expressions.
At INTEMPO, we take the whole child into account. Our role in our students’ lives extends beyond their music lessons and into other aspects of their development, through family advocacy services that focus on our students’overall needs.
The INTEMPO Music Catalog is a comprehensive collection of repertoire from diverse and intercultural music genres and composers from all over the world. The repertoire is arranged for solo players and ensemble, and includes music for both native and classical instruments, including but not limited to, charango, guitar, marimba, violin, cello, piano, choir, and full orchestra.
