Mayra Rios

Mayra was born and raised in Stamford, CT, to Colombian immigrant parents. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield (1999), before receiving her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT (2002), when she was admitted to practice law. After graduation, she practiced Immigration Law in New York City, and then decided to return to her native Stamford to provide legal services in the community where she was raised. Mayra opened her practice in April of 2004 (Law Office of Mayra M. Rios, LLC, Founder & Practicing Attorney). She has been involved in many civic and community organizations throughout her years in practice, including the Greater Stamford Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and The Exchange Club of Stamford. She has served on the Board of The Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center, the Mayor's Multi-Cultural Council and as a Commissioner on the Stamford Urban Redevelopment Commission (URC). Most recently, she was appointed Education Chair of Latinos of Real Estate (LORE) - Greater Stamford Chapter.

Mayra speaks English and Spanish. She resides in Stamford with her husband and child.
