Melanie

My name is Melanie. I am 9 years old and I am in 4th grade. I go to Long Ridge School in Stamford, CT.

I live with my parents and sister. We live in the city of Stamford, CT.

I speak English and Spanish. My dad and mom are from Guatemala. My favorite food is black beans. When I have time to myself I like to read.

I like to play the guitar at INTEMPO. My teacher is Mr. Scott and I like to play guitar because I like the sound. I like music because it’s nice to listen to and when I play with INTEMPO I feel happy. I would like to learn Somewhere Over the Rainbow on the guitar.

My favorite subject at school is writing because I make my own story.

My least favorite subject in school is Spanish because the teacher is so strict. When things get hard for me I like to practice it.

My tutor is kind and I like to do writing activities during tutoring. When I am confused about something, I ask.

The most fun part of online learning has been still being able to see everybody. The challenging part of online learning has been not seeing everybody in person.

When I become older, I would like to be an actress.I will graduate high school in the year 2029.
