Valeria is an organizational designer, consultant, and team coach at The Ready, a future of work consultancy guiding organizations to work in more adaptive, meaningful, and human ways. When not working at The Ready, Valeria energizes her own business, OnBeat Consulting, where she partners with mission-based organizations in the United States and Latin America in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to facilitate transformative experiences around teaming, strategy, and organizational structure. She holds a Bachelors degree from Manhattanville College, Masters degree from Brown University, and certifications in True Colors Personal Success & Communication, and the MSCEIT (Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test).

Valeria’s work spans across industries from learning and development to education, healthcare, philanthropy, startups, and community development. Valeria started her career in education – working in nonprofit organizations and school districts on early childhood, family and community engagement and adult learner initiatives. She managed a service-learning program for alternative high school youth, presented at local and national conferences on the importance of play-based learning in early childhood settings and conducted research on career and technical education program cost benchmarks. She then transitioned to healthcare where she designed and evaluated programs to strengthen clinical and non-clinical team performance and onboard new hires.

Valeria’s greatest joy is connecting with people in a variety of settings and in the language of their choice – whether they be IT professionals, higher education faculty, K-12 teachers, patients receiving treatment for a vascular condition, or Internal Medicine residents in a local hospital. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, especially to Brazil, dancing salsa, spending time with family, and swimming. Valeria resides in Stamford, CT.
