Ellen (Ellie) Isidro

Ellie Isidro is a retired nonprofit executive director and community volunteer. Ellie holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She served as Executive Aide to the Mayor of Stamford and Social Services Coordinator for the City of Stamford. She also worked as a school social worker for the Stamford Board of Education in the bilingual program. Ellie was the Executive Director of Pacific House and President & CEO of the United Way of Stamford (after mergers now known as United Way of Western CT).
As a community volunteer, Ellie has served on many nonprofit boards, the two most recent being Building One Community, where she was Board Chair, and Stamford Senior Center, where she was Board Chair and also served twice as interim Executive Director. Ellie enjoys hands-on volunteering as well. She has taught English to Stamford immigrants and served as field supervisor to Bachelor of Social Work students. Most recently Ellie has provided translation services for clients of the Income Tax Assistance Program at Building One Community. Ellie enjoys spending time with her family and she loves to read, walk and travel, especially to Ireland. She lives in Riverside, CT.
